Film and TV Production Company created by Laura Meakin. Laura is a British actress who began her career as a professional dancer. She received a scholarship to the prestigious Arts Educational School in London, and later won a coveted place at the famous Lee Strasberg Institute in New York. While still at drama school, she was spotted by British director Daniel Peacock, who cast her as heart throb teacher Miss Blackburn in his award winning Channel 5 TV show “Billie: Girl of the Future,” kicking off Laura's career as a TV and film actress. She went on to star in other TV series for Channel 4, ITV and BBC in the UK. Her work caught the eye of American casting directors, which led to her break-out role as Hesther Carney in AMC's hit Revolutionary War drama “TURN: Washington's Spies.” Laura went on to appear on screen with Johnny Depp in Tim Burton's “Sweeney Todd” for DreamWorks; Jodie Foster's “Money Monster,” starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts, for TriStar; as well as the new film adaptation of LaChiusa's celebrated musical, “Hello Again.” More American TV work followed, with leading roles in the FX series “Headhunter,” “68 Whiskey” for CBS, the AMC animated sci-fi series “Pantheon,” now streaming on Netflix, and the epic historical drama series “Those About to Die for Amazon.
